Donalda Broome

We had never met prior to the Mallee Living History’s project and during our initial meeting, Donalda was adamant that she did not have a story to tell, but she did have lots of information… memories of her families, and her husband Ken’s achievements. I explained to her that this project was to be about her life and her journey. She was obviously unsure and quite reluctant, stating emphatically that she had nothing to write about! She took quite a bit of convincing to believe she did have a story and over the weeks since that meeting, she gradually revealed much. In some cases, one memory led to another and as she would say … “Oh, that’s another story!”
